The highly anticipated anime feature film 100 Meters (Japanese title: Hyakuemu), based on Uoto’s debut serialized manga, has announced ten additional voice cast members. The film is slated for a nationwide release in Japan on September 19, 2025, with GKIDS distributing it in North American theaters in October.

Expanding the Ensemble

The newly revealed cast members bring a wealth of talent to the sports drama, which delves into the intense world of the 100-meter sprint. These additions join the previously announced lead voice actors, Tori Matsuzaka as Togashi and Shota Sometani as Komiya, the central rivals in the story. Kenjiro Tsuda as Kaido and Koki Uchiyama as Zaitsu were also announced earlier.

The ten new voice actors and their roles are as follows:

  • Jun Kasama as Nikami: A former middle school track star who becomes a teammate of protagonist Togashi in high school. Kasama is known for voicing Hisashi Mitsui in The First Slam Dunk.
  • Rie Takahashi as Asakusa: A bright high school girl with a passion for track who recruits Togashi to the school’s track team. Takahashi is famous for her role as Ai in Oshi no Ko.
  • Yuki Tanaka as Shiina: A supportive team member who runs alongside Asakusa. Tanaka played Riri Takahashi in Trillion Game.
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Young Togashi: Portrays the protagonist during his elementary school years. Tanezaki is known for her role as Anya Forger in the SPY×FAMILY series.
  • Aoi Yuki as Young Komiya: Voices the elementary school version of the other protagonist, Komiya, who becomes obsessed with the 100-meter sprint as a means of escape. Yuki is widely recognized for roles like Mao Mao in The Apothecary Diaries.
  • Yuma Uchida as Kabaki: A promising young runner expected to lead the future of track and field. Uchida is popular for his role as Haruka Sakura in WIND BREAKER.
  • Junya Enoki as Numano: A cheerful and friendly member of Komiya’s high school track team. Enoki is known for voicing Nasa in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You.
  • Haruki Ishiya as Kyoden: The team captain who secretly fears Komiya’s talent. Ishiya played Jiro Yamada in HYPNOSISMIC.
  • Hiiro Ishibashi as Morikawa: A track athlete who idolizes Togashi. Ishibashi voiced Akatsuki Red in Mr. Villain’s Day Off.
  • Tomokazu Sugita as Onomichi: Nikami’s rival and longtime frenemy. Sugita is known for his role as Taro Sakamoto in SAKAMOTO DAYS.

The Story of 100 Meters

The film follows Togashi, a naturally gifted track star who effortlessly wins 100-meter races as a child. In sixth grade, he encounters Komiya, a transfer student brimming with determination but lacking technique. Togashi’s guidance instills in Komiya a new purpose: to win at all costs. Years later, Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track, where their true selves are revealed in a story exploring obsession and passion.

Kenji Iwaisawa, director of On-Gaku: Our Sound, is helming the 100 Meters anime film at Studio Rock ‘n’ Roll Mountain. The creative team also includes Keisuke Kojima as character designer and animation director, Keikankun Yamaguchi as art director, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi composing the music. The film is a co-production between Pony Canyon, TBS, and Asmik Ace, with GKIDS also joining as a producing partner.
