The Beginning After the End Anime Returns in Spring 2026
The second season of The Beginning After the End is slated for an April 2026 release. Crunchyroll confirmed it would stream the new season following the conclusion of the first season in June 2025. Studio A-CAT is returning to animate the series, with Keitaro Motonaga directing, Takamitsu Kōno handling series composition, Masami Sueoka designing characters, and Keiji Inai composing the music.
What to Expect in Season 2
The Beginning After the End is based on TurtleMe’s web novel and its webtoon adaptation, which follows King Grey, who is reborn as Arthur Leywin in a magical world after his untimely death. The first season, which aired from April to June 2025, consisted of 12 episodes. Season 2 is expected to continue Arthur’s journey as he navigates his new life, masters magic, and confronts the challenges of his past and present. Reports suggest the second season might adapt volumes four and five of the web novel, delving deeper into Arthur’s growth and the lore of the continent of Dicathen. New character designs for Feyrith, Tessia, and Vio were also unveiled alongside the ending theme announcement, hinting at their roles in the upcoming narrative.
