The short anime series Everyday Host, adapted from Nimo Gotō’s four-panel manga, has revealed additional cast members for its second cour (quarter of the year), which has already begun airing. This announcement brings exciting new voices to the colorful world of the show, promising more comedic moments and quirky character interactions.

New Hosts Arrive at Club Trillion

The newly announced cast members will be voicing the hosts of “Club Trillion,” a rival establishment to the main characters’ workplace, “Club One.” The new cast includes:

  • Yūichirō Umehara as Rui, the No. 2 host of Club Trillion.
  • Kōtarō Nishiyama as Shin, the No. 1 host.
  • Kōhei Amasaki as Mio, the No. 3 host.

These additions are poised to shake up the dynamic of the series, introducing new personalities and potential rivalries within the host club scene.

What Everyday Host is All About

Everyday Host is a gag comedy that revolves around the daily life of Hajime Sekiguchi, an ex-salaryman who makes a drastic career change to become a host. The series follows his experiences at “Club One,” where he works alongside a diverse and eccentric group of colleagues. The manga was initially launched by Gotō as a series of four-panel comics on their personal website, as well as Nico Nico and pixiv, back in July 2020. Kadokawa later picked up the series, publishing five digital volumes under the Asuka Comics DX label by December 2024.

Production Team

The anime adaptation is being directed and written by Rarecho (known for Aggretsuko and Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai!) at Fanworks studio. The series premiered on April 4, 2025, on TV Tokyo.

The Cast of Everyday Host

The main cast of Everyday Host includes:

  • Hiro Shimono as Kōichi
  • Taku Yashiro as Hajime
  • Tasuku Hatanaka as Ryōichi
  • Nobuhiko Okamoto as Senichi
  • Hidenobu Kiuchi as Tarō Okonomi

Storyline

The anime follows the daily shenanigans of Sekiguchi, a former life insurance salesman, who unexpectedly becomes a host at “Club One.” There, he is surrounded by unique individuals, including a host who looks like a younger brother but has two decades of experience, a former idol, and a hyper-competitive host obsessed with social games. Despite initially thinking that the job isn’t for “anyone with a sane mind,” Sekiguchi uses his sales skills to attract customers and find his own place in the club.

Where to Watch

Everyday Host is currently airing in Japan and is available on TV Tokyo and BS NTV.

Theme Song

The anime’s theme song is “Everyday Host,” performed by EbuHosu Players, a group composed of the voice actors Hiro Shimono, Taku Yashiro, Tasuku Hatanaka, and Nobuhiko Okamoto.

What to Expect

With the addition of new cast members and the ongoing broadcast of the second cour, viewers can anticipate more hilarious situations, character development, and insights into the lives of hosts at “Club One” and now “Club Trillion.” The comedic style and unique character dynamics continue to be the highlights of this short anime series.

A Growing Trend: Short-Form Anime

Everyday Host is part of a growing trend of short-form anime, which delivers quick and entertaining stories in brief episodes. This format has become increasingly popular, especially with audiences who enjoy bite-sized content that can be easily consumed on various platforms.

Popularity and Reception

The anime has garnered attention for its comedic approach and relatable themes, attracting fans of both the original manga and newcomers alike. The short format and engaging characters have contributed to its positive reception among viewers.

Final Thoughts

Everyday Host continues to entertain with its comedic portrayal of life in a host club, and the addition of new cast members promises even more laughs and engaging storylines. As the second cour unfolds, fans can look forward to seeing how the dynamics between the characters evolve and what new antics await them in the vibrant world of Everyday Host.
