The Teogonia anime series is ramping up towards its climax with the introduction of two pivotal characters: Zeiena and the evil god Diabo. Adding to the excitement, it has been announced that Yūko Kaida will be voicing Zeiena, the ambitious princess from the Makaku royal family.
Zeiena: The Wise Princess
Zeiena is the youngest member of the Makaku royal family. Known as the “Wise Princess” in the northern lands, she is characterized by her sharp intelligence and unwavering ambition. Zeiena is determined to ascend to the throne and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. She commands Deuwulf, a powerful divine wolf, making her a formidable force.
Yūko Kaida Voices Zeiena
Yūko Kaida, known for her roles in series like Gintama, will be bringing Zeiena to life. Kaida shared her experiences voicing Zeiena, highlighting the challenges of performing the Makaku language, a fictional language created for the series. She describes her character as possessing a firm belief in her own sense of justice, making her a compelling figure in battle.
Diabo: The Cursed God
Alongside Zeiena, the anime is also introducing Diabo, a cursed god born through a divine mutation known as Shinpen (Divine Transformation). This mutation occurs when the power of a land god becomes corrupted, resulting in the birth of Diabo, a manifestation of pure curse. Diabo adds another layer of darkness to the conflicts.
Special Program on ABEMA
To prepare fans for the final episodes, ABEMA’s Isekai & Fantasy Anime Channel will stream a special cast event titled “Pre-Finale Special Talk” on June 20, 2025, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM JST. The program will feature Mutsumi Tamura (Kai), Katsuya Fukunishi (Manso), Manaka Iwami (Elsa), and Hana Tsuigai (Alue), as they discuss the series and preview the climax. A marathon stream of episodes 1–10 will precede the special, airing free on the same channel from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM JST.
About Teogonia
Teogonia is a dark fantasy series based on the novels by Tsukasa Tanimai. The story unfolds during a time of relentless warfare between humans and demi-human tribes, such as the Ash Monkeys (Macaque) and pig people (Ogres). Kai, a boy from the village of Rag, is caught in the middle of the conflict. As he fights to protect his village, he begins to recall memories of a world with advanced technology, memories he shouldn’t possess. Drawn into larger conflicts, Kai faces trials that will determine his destiny in this brutal world.
The anime series debuted on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11 on April 11, 2025, with streaming available on ABEMA and Crunchyroll, including an English dub. Kunihiro Mori directs the anime at Asahi Production, with Tomoyasu Okubo handling series scripts, Kōichirō Kawano designing the characters, and Kenji Fujisawa composing the music.
