The highly anticipated “Silent Witch” anime has offered an early glimpse into its magical world, releasing the first three minutes of its debut episode. Accompanying this preview, details regarding a new cast member and the opening theme song have been revealed, building anticipation for its premiere.
First Look at the Series
Aniplex officially presented the initial three minutes of footage from the anime’s first episode during a recent livestream event. This sneak peek, also posted on the Japanese Aniplex YouTube channel, provides viewers with an early introduction to the series’ animation style and characters. The anime, officially titled Secrets of the Silent Witch (or Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto), is an adaptation of Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi’s light novel series. The story centers on Monica Everett, known as the “Silent Witch,” the world’s sole practitioner of Voiceless Magic and a heroine who single-handedly defeated a legendary black dragon. However, Monica’s true nature is that of an incredibly shy individual, having learned voiceless magic specifically to avoid public speaking. Her current mission, unknown to most, involves secretly guarding the Second Prince, Felix Arc Ridill, at the prestigious Serendia Academy.
New Addition to the Voice Cast
The anime’s cast sees a new addition with Ai Kayano, who will voice the character Claudia. Claudia is described as a “walking library,” suggesting a role rich in knowledge or information. Kayano joins an already announced cast that includes Saya Aizawa as the protagonist Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, among others.
Opening Theme Details Revealed
Further exciting news for fans includes the revelation of the opening theme song. The alternative rock band hitsujibungaku will perform the track titled “Feel.” The song is set to become available for streaming in Japan on July 4, 2025. hitsujibungaku is also performing the ending theme song, “mild days.”
The “Silent Witch” anime is slated to premiere on July 4, 2025, on channels such as Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 in Japan, with Crunchyroll also streaming the series as part of its summer 2025 anime simulcast lineup. The series is directed by Yasuo Iwamoto, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, and animation produced by Studio Gokumi.
