The upcoming Silent Witch anime, based on the light novel series by Matsuri Isora and Nanna Fujimi, has released its first three minutes of footage, unveiled a new cast member, and provided details on its opening theme song. The series is set to premiere on July 4, 2025.
First Three Minutes Preview
Aniplex presented the initial three minutes of the anime’s first episode during a recent livestream. This sneak peek features protagonist Monica Everett and Annie, with a surprise appearance from Louis. The preview offers a glimpse into the world of Monica Everett, known as the “Silent Witch” due to her mastery of voiceless magic, a skill she developed to avoid public speaking due to her extreme shyness. The story follows Monica as she is tasked with secretly guarding the second prince, Felix Arc Ridill, at the prestigious Serendia Academy.
New Cast Member Introduced
Voice actress Ai Kayano has joined the cast to voice the character Claudia, often referred to as the “walking library”. She joins a previously announced cast including Saya Aizawa as Monica Everett, Hitomi Nabatame as Nero, Junichi Suwabe as Louis Miller, Atsumi Tanezaki as Isabelle Norton, Shogo Sakata as Felix Arc Ridill, Kanna Nakamura as Lana Colette, Yoshiki Nakajima as Cyril Ashley, Ryōhei Kimura as Elliott Howard, Yuki Sakakihara as Neil Clay Maywood, Yōko Hikasa as Bridget Greyham, M.A.O as Rynzbelfeid, and Hina Suguta as Casey Grove.
Opening Song Information
The opening theme song for Silent Witch is titled “Feel,” performed by the alternative rock band hitsujibungaku. The song is scheduled to be available for streaming in Japan on July 4, coinciding with the anime’s premiere. hitsujibungaku will also perform the ending theme song, “mild days”.
The anime is being produced by Studio Gokumi, with Takaomi Kanasaki serving as chief director, screenwriter, and scriptwriter, and Yasuo Iwamoto as director. Cona Nitanda is responsible for character designs. Cygames and Rina Tayama are credited for the music composition. The series will air on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11 channels in Japan, and Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide.
