The upcoming television anime adaptation of Riku Nanano and cura’s light novel series, Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter (Kōjo Denka no Kateikyōshi), has unveiled six additional cast members. The newly announced voice actors will bring to life a diverse set of characters in the series, which began streaming on Crunchyroll on July 5, 2025.

Expanding the Voice Ensemble

The newly revealed cast members and their respective roles are:

  • Yūya Uchida as The Professor
  • Hana Satō as Anko-san
  • Junichi Suwabe as Walter Howard
  • Hiroshi Naka as Graham Walker
  • Sayuri Sadaoka as Sherry Walker
  • Tomohiro Ōno as Gil Algren

These actors join the previously announced main cast, which includes Yūto Uemura as Allen, Hime Sawada as Tina Howard, Kyōka Moriya as Ellie Walker, Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Leinster, Inori Minase as Stella Howard, Ami Maeshima as Caren, Miho Okasaki as Lynne Leinster, and Kana Hanazawa as Felicia Fosse.

Production and Story Overview

Nobuyoshi Nagayama is directing the anime at Studio Blanc, with Kazuya Ishiguri serving as assistant director. Megumi Shimizu is overseeing the series scripts, and Akiko Toyoda is handling the character designs. The music for the series is composed by Kei Haneoka. Ami Maeshima also performs the opening theme song, “Wish for you,” while Miho Okasaki performs the ending theme song, “Shōjo no Susume” (A Girl’s Advice).

The Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter light novel series, which began serialization on the Kakuyomu website in October 2017, follows the story of Allen, a promising young sorcerer. After failing his final exam for a dream job at the royal court, Allen takes on a seemingly modest position as a private tutor to Tina, the daughter of Duke Howard, one of the kingdom’s most powerful nobles. Despite her academic brilliance, Tina is unable to cast spells, a significant hurdle with the Royal Academy’s entrance exams requiring magical aptitude fast approaching. The series explores Allen’s efforts to help Tina overcome her unique magical impairment, a mystery that even the kingdom’s most skilled sorcerers have been unable to solve.
