The official website for the upcoming television anime series “Cultural Exchange With a Game Centre Girl” (Gēsen Shōjo to Ibunka Kōryū), based on Hirokazu Yasuhara’s manga, has released a short promotional video. This video offers a preview of the anime’s ending theme song, titled “Amusing Flavor.”

Ending Theme Song Details

The ending theme song, “Amusing Flavor,” is performed by Sally Amaki, who also voices the character Lily Baker in the anime. Amaki also performs the opening theme song, “Futari no Start Button” (Their Start Button), alongside Reo Osanai, who voices Aoi Kusakabe.

Anime Premiere and Staff

“Cultural Exchange With a Game Centre Girl” is set to premiere on July 6, 2025, on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS Asahi. Crunchyroll will be streaming the series.

The anime is produced by studio Nomad. Toshihiro Kikuchi is directing the series, with Yasunori Yamada handling the series composition, Rikiya Okano designing the characters, and Takurō Iga composing the music.

Plot Overview

The story of “Cultural Exchange With a Game Centre Girl” centers on Renji Kusakabe, a young man who works part-time at a game arcade. One day, he encounters Lily Baker, a British girl who has recently moved to Japan and is struggling to win a “Manly Koala” stuffed toy from a crane game. Renji, a skilled gamer, helps her win the prize. This encounter leads to a misunderstanding and the beginning of a unique cultural exchange between them, especially when Lily gives him a message card with “Be My Valentine!”

The manga series, written and illustrated by Hirokazu Yasuhara, originally began online via Twitter and Pixiv in December 2019, before being serialized by Fujimi Shobo.
