The highly anticipated new anime project, “Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke,” has released its first teaser visual and trailer, confirming a Spring 2026 premiere. This new season, adapting Part 3 of the light novel series, sees a significant change in animation studio, with WIT Studio taking over the production.
The teaser and visual were first unveiled at Anime Expo 2025, generating considerable excitement among fans. The new installment will delve into the narrative where Myne, now known as Rozemyne, begins her life as the adopted daughter of Ehrenfest’s archduke, navigating the complex world of noble society and continuing her quest to bring books to her fantasy world.
Key Returning Cast and New Creative Team
Fans will be pleased to know that familiar voices will be reprising their roles. Yuka Iguchi returns as the voice of Rozemyne (Myne), and Show Hayami will once again voice Ferdinand.
The creative team behind the anime sees a mix of returning talent and new additions. While Mariko Kunisawa remains in charge of series composition and Michiru is still composing the music, the new director for this season is Yoshiaki Iwasaki, known for his work on “Kowloon Generic Romance.” Additionally, Aiko Minowa is credited as the new character designer. This shift to WIT Studio, known for its high-quality animation, has set high expectations for the visual presentation of “Ascendance of a Bookworm’s” next chapter.
