The Narrative of the Seasons
The “Agents of the Four Seasons” light novel series introduces a world where divine agents and their bodyguards are tasked with circulating the four seasons across the land, wielding special powers granted by the gods. The story of “Dance of Spring” specifically centers on the disappearance of spring for ten years following the absence of Kayō Hinagiku, the Agent of Spring. Her loyal bodyguard, Sakura Himedaka, tirelessly searches for her. The narrative unfolds as Hinagiku unexpectedly returns, setting the stage for their emotional journey to restore the cycle. The light novel series has been serialized under the Dengeki Bunko imprint since 2021 and was notably recognized, topping the “New Title” category in Takarajimasha’s 2022 “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” guidebook. Yen Press has licensed the light novel series, and its manga adaptation by Nappa Komatsuda, for English release.
