The popular four-panel manga series, “Re-Kan!” by Hinako Seta, is set to conclude its serialization on August 7. The final chapter will appear in the next issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time magazine, as revealed in the magazine’s August issue. The concluding installment will be featured on the front cover and include a color opening page.
The End of a Supernatural Slice of Life
“Re-Kan!” centers on the daily life of Hibiki Amami, a high school girl with a unique “sixth sense” that allows her to see and communicate with ghosts and other supernatural phenomena. The series explores her interactions with both her human friends and the various otherworldly entities that populate her surroundings. Known for its blend of comedy and supernatural elements, the manga has been serialized since February 2010, initially in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Jumbo magazine before moving to Manga Time in April 2018.
The series also inspired a 13-episode anime television adaptation by Pierrot+ that aired in Japan from April to June 2015. The manga has been collected into twelve tankōbon volumes, with the most recent volume 15 released in January 2025. Fans eagerly await the final chapter as the charming supernatural comedy draws to a close.
