Kadokawa is set to release three new manga titles in English this month: The Killer Cutie Next Door, Flirting with a Faux Tyrant in the Entertainment Biz, and From Bullied to Brawler: My After-Hours Education with the School’s Tough Girls. These titles will be available on the BookWalker Global site and other digital storefronts.
The Killer Cutie Next Door
The Killer Cutie Next Door (original title: Tonari no Koroshiya-chan) is written by Jay Kato. The manga follows Ako Yamada, a former assassin from the notorious organization “Orochi,” who now attempts to lead a normal life working at the Piping Hot Bakery. Despite her past as a cold-blooded hitman, Ako is incredibly clumsy in everyday situations. Her peaceful new life is threatened when Nono Morino, a high school girl intrigued by urban legends about a hitman living nearby, visits the bakery, and members of Orochi also begin pursuing Ako. The series began serialization in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine and on the Comic Walker platform in January 2024, with the first compiled volume released in August 2024. The English chapter release on BookWalker Global is scheduled for July 12.
Flirting with a Faux Tyrant in the Entertainment Biz
Flirting with a Faux Tyrant in the Entertainment Biz (original title: Bijinesu Boukun to Mezasu Happiiendo) is created by Takarano Island. This manga centers on Misora Kikuna, a 30-year-old office worker who produces the otome game “Nanairo no Tsuki” (Seven-Colored Moon). After a fatal accident involving an idol group’s car, Misora finds herself reincarnated into the world of “Nanairo no Tsuki” as the protagonist, while the most popular member of the idol group POLARIS7 is reincarnated as the prince. The series launched on the Comic Walker platform and Nico Nico Seiga in January 2024, with its second compiled volume released on November 14. The English version will debut exclusively on BookWalker Global in chapter format on July 18, with the first four chapters available for free for three months.

From Bullied to Brawler: My After-Hours Education with the School’s Tough Girls (original title: Hōkago wa Kenka Saikyō no Gyaru ni Tsurekomareru Seikatsu) is based on a web novel by Aitsu, with illustrations by kakao, and the manga adaptation by Takao Aoyagi. The story follows Shiki, who enrolls in the infamous St. Lukeman’s Academy. His life changes when he helps a girl who turns out to be Karin, the “Empress” of the school—the strongest and most beautiful girl. Karin, whose friend was helped by Shiki, offers to teach him how to fight if he teaches her how to study. The web novel began in October 2022, and the manga adaptation launched in Fujimi Shobo’s Dragon Age magazine in February 2024. The English release of From Bullied to Brawler began on Monday in chapter format on BookWalker Global.
