Synopsis of Girls Band Cry
The Girls Band Cry anime centers on Nina Iseri, a high school dropout who moves to Tokyo with aspirations of entering university while working independently. In the city, she encounters other young women facing their own struggles, such as betrayal by friends or abandonment by parents. Despite their individual hardships and the world often letting them down, these girls find common ground and a sense of belonging through forming a band, using music as their outlet to express their anger, joy, and sadness. The project is notable for linking the fictional band in the story to a real-life band, Togenashi Togeari, whose members had no prior professional experience.
