Rin Kusumi has been officially cast as Shio Minamo in the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Shinya Misu’s manga, “Osananajimi to wa LoveCom ni Naranai” (It’s Not Possible To Be In a Romantic Comedy With a Childhood Friend). The series is slated to premiere in 2026 and is being animated by Tezuka Productions.
Shio Minamo is depicted as one of the protagonist Eiyū’s childhood friends. She is a popular girl at school with a carefree personality and actively tries to get Eiyū to see her as more than just a childhood friend. A new teaser visual featuring Shio Minamo and the tagline “We’re still childhood friends” was also unveiled alongside the casting announcement.
