Highlighting the Latest Acquisitions
Seven Seas Entertainment continues to bring a wide array of Japanese manga to English-speaking audiences. The latest announcements cater to various tastes, from charming slice-of-life comedies to action-packed fantasy adventures.
My Cat’s Aura is Strong Today
My Cat’s Aura is Strong Today by Utako Uguisu is a full-color manga focusing on the humorous lives of two “prickly kitties,” Kijineko-sama and Kuroneko-sama, and their doting human owners, Kanenosuke and Sumire. The series explores the cats’ perspectives on their household and their often-amusing interactions with their humans, who are constantly entertained by their moody feline monarchs. This adorable series is slated for its first English-language print release in May 2026, available in single large-trim editions and as an ebook.
The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System
The manga adaptation of The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System, written by Nekoko and illustrated by Brocco Lee, is set to be released as a 2-volume omnibus print series. This isekai fantasy follows 15-year-old Elma, who, despite being born into a lineage of Sword Saints, chooses the “useless” Heavy Knight class during his Divine Blessing Ceremony and is subsequently exiled. However, Elma, having been reincarnated into this world which was once a video game in his past life, knows that the Heavy Knight class holds immense, hidden power. Armed with this knowledge, he aims to exploit the system and become a hero. The first omnibus volume is scheduled for English print in June 2026, with digital editions also available. An anime adaptation of the series is also expected in 2026.
The Babe at My Back Has Her Eye on Me. I’m Done For.
Seven Seas has also licensed The Babe at My Back Has Her Eye on Me. I’m Done For. This romantic comedy manga, with art by Maromi Suya and original story by Koharu Michinoku and Higure Hizuki, follows the high school loner Sandai. His world is turned upside down after he rescues Shino, the cutest girl in his class, from a ditch. Despite Sandai’s initial confusion about her sudden interest, Shino, who has never had a proper conversation with a guy before, begins to hang around him. This leads to Sandai developing feelings for her, exploring whether a loner and a social butterfly can build a relationship. The first volume of this series is expected to be released in English print in June 2026, with digital versions also available.
DOGGO
The fourth newly announced manga license is DOGGO by Ryuki Onuma and Hikari Komaru. This series introduces a young woman who, after rescuing a strange pug, finds herself with more than just a loyal friend—she gains a bodyguard. Further details regarding its release date were not immediately available in the initial announcements, but it was confirmed as a new acquisition on July 23, 2025.

The publisher has been active in licensing a variety of genres, including other recent announcements such as Gladiator Battle Life and I Have a Secret.
