The movie, produced by studio MAPPA, is set to premiere in Japan on October 24, 2025.
The new trailer offers a glimpse into a “galaxy festival movie” that blends the franchise’s signature chaotic comedy with full-blown sci-fi action, promising an “epic Saga Fight” as the entire Saga Prefecture faces an unprecedented alien attack.
Franchouchou Faces an Extraterrestrial Threat

In a dramatic twist that has surprised fans, Tae Yamada, the legendary zombie who has largely remained unconscious throughout the series, finally awakens. The trailer features her declaring, “What can an idol even do?”, before announcing her departure from Franchouchou and heading alone into enemy territory to confront the invasion. This development hints at a pivotal role for Tae in the film’s narrative.
New Music from Franchouchou
The trailer also previews a new song from Franchouchou titled “Matataku Sora ni Akogarete” (Yearning for the Twinkling Sky). An album featuring 19 tracks, including four new songs from the movie, titled Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise Franchouchou The Best Paradise, is scheduled for release on October 29, 2025.
Production and Returning Talent
The Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise film sees the return of key staff and the beloved voice cast. Takafumi Ishida and Takeru Satō, who previously served as episode directors for the anime series, are co-directing the film at studio MAPPA. Shigeru Murakoshi is penning the screenplay, while Kasumi Fukagawa, Fumihide Sai, and Jinshichi Yamaguchi are credited as character designers. Yasuharu Takanashi is once again composing the music for the film.
The main voice cast, including Kaede Hondo as Sakura Minamoto, Asami Tano as Saki Nikaido, Risa Taneda as Ai Mizuno, Maki Kawase as Junko Konno, Rika Kinugawa as Yugiri, Minami Tanaka as Lily Hoshikawa, and Kotono Mitsuishi as Tae Yamada, are all reprising their roles.
