Mika Satonaka’s popular shojo romantic comedy series, Pink & Habanero (Japanese: Pinku to Habanero), is set to conclude with its 14th compiled volume. The final volume is scheduled for release in November.

The Pink & Habanero manga, written and illustrated by Mika Satonaka, began its serialization in Shueisha’s Margaret magazine on October 5, 2021. The series has gained a following for its engaging romantic comedy narrative. As of May 23, 2025, twelve volumes have been released in Japan, with the 13th physical volume shipping on August 25.
Synopsis of the Series
The story of Pink & Habanero revolves around Mai (Mugi), a high school freshman with little experience in romance or talking to boys. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Kei Kurose, a handsome classmate who initially gives a cold impression, particularly towards girls. Despite his seemingly rude demeanor, Mai coincidentally discovers Kei’s secret part-time job, which reveals a different side to his personality. This discovery forces Mai and Kei to interact more, leading to a blossoming romantic comedy.
English Language Release
For fans in North America, Yen Press licensed Pink & Habanero for English release. The first English volume was released on September 17, 2024. Yen Press released the third volume on May 27, 2025, and the fourth volume is slated for October 28, 2025.
