Anime Releases: Home Video Highlights
Several popular anime series are receiving new home video releases, offering fans the chance to own their favorite shows. On July 29, Discotek Media is releasing Blu-ray editions of DearS, Osomatsu-kun, and ViVid Strike!. AnimEigo is also contributing to the July 29 lineup with the Blu-ray release of Romeo’s Blue Skies. Sentai Filmworks will release Plus-Sized Elf on Blu-ray on the same day. Viz Media is set to release the Chainsaw Man Season 1 Limited Edition on Blu-ray on July 29.

The summer 2025 anime season is in full swing, with many ongoing series releasing new episodes during this period. Fans can catch new installments of various popular titles across major streaming platforms.
Crunchyroll & Netflix Continues Popular Series
Crunchyroll continues to simulcast a robust lineup of summer anime. Among the notable series receiving new episodes are Dan Da Dan Season 2, My Dress-Up Darling Season 2, and Kaiju No. 8 Season 2. Gachiakuta and Nyaight of the Living Cat are also part of Crunchyroll’s July releases. Additionally, Reborn as a Vending Machine, Now I Wander the Dungeon Season 2 premiered on July 2, with new episodes continuing into this release window. The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 and I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability Season 2 are also continuing with new episodes.
Netflix is streaming Sakamoto Days Part 2, which began its run in July.

Viz Media’s August Offerings
Viz Media has a substantial list of manga releases scheduled for August 2025, many of which will be available in the week of July 27 to August 2. New volumes include Dandadan, Vol. 14, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu Academy, Vol. 6, Sakamoto Days, Vol. 18, and Spy x Family, Vol. 14. Other continuing series with new volumes include Astro Royale, Vol. 1, Colette Decides to Die, Vol. 4, In the Name of the Mermaid Princess, Vol. 7, Kagurabachi, Vol. 4, Kill Blue, Vol. 2, Marriage Toxin, Vol. 8, Natsume’s Book of Friends, Vol. 31, Queen’s Quality, Vol. 23, RuriDragon, Vol. 2, The Bugle Call: Song of War, Vol. 2, The Elusive Samurai, Vol. 16, and You and I Are Polar Opposites, Vol. 6.

Dark Horse is releasing Cat + Crazy GN 1 and Chibi Usagi: Attack of the Heebie Chibis – Expanded Edition GN on July 29, along with Gunsmith Cats Omnibus GN 2.
Kodansha USA has several new manga volumes scheduled for July 29, including The Ayakashi Hunter’s Tainted Bride GN 3, A Condition Called Love GN 14, EDENS ZERO GN 32, GAEA-TIMA the Gigantis GN 2, and Honeko Akabane’s Bodyguards GN 4.
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing multiple new volumes on July 29, such as Before You Discard Me, I Shall Have My Way With You GN 4, Betrayed by the Hero, I Formed a MILF Party with His Mom! GN 2, Gravitation: Collector’s Edition GN 6, His Majesty the Demon King’s Housekeeper GN 10, Ichi the Killer Omnibus GN 1, and Mysterious Disappearances GN 6. Looking ahead slightly, Seven Seas also has Pet Shop of Horrors: Collector’s Edition Vol. 3 and Gene Bride Vol. 2 slated for August 5.
Vertical is releasing Flying Witch GN 13 on July 29.
Digital Manga Releases from Renta!
The online licensed manga service Renta! has announced several digital manga titles for August 2025, with some releasing early in the month. “Look into My Eyes and Kneel” by Enmaku is set for August 1, 2025. “I’m A Bit Older, But Won’t You Still Love Me? -My Romance With A Younger Man!-” by Mika will be available on August 2, 2025.
