The upcoming anime adaptation of Riku Nanano and cura’s light novel series, Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter (Kōjo Denka no Kateikyōshi), has announced four more cast members. These additions further expand the ensemble for the highly anticipated fantasy romance series.
Expanding the Voice Cast
The newly revealed cast members will lend their voices to key characters in the ongoing anime adaptation. The additions include:
- Ayako Kawasumi as Lisa Leinster
- Tatsumaru Tachibana as Richard Leinster
- Saya Horigome as Anna
- Toshiya Miyata as Gerard Wainwright
These cast members join a previously announced roster that includes Yūto Uemura as Allen, Hime Sawada as Tina Howard, Kyōka Moriya as Ellie Walker, Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Leinster, Inori Minase as Stella Howard, Ami Maeshima as Caren, Miho Okasaki as Lynne Leinster, and Kana Hanazawa as Felicia Fosse. Other previously announced cast members include Yūya Uchida as The Professor, Hana Satō as Anko-san, Junichi Suwabe as Walter Howard, Hiroshi Naka as Graham Walker, Sayuri Sadaoka as Sherry Walker, and Tomohiro Ōno as Gil Algren.
Series Premiere and Availability
Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter officially premiered on ABEMA and d Anime Store on June 28, 2025. The television broadcast began on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 5, 2025. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series as it airs.
What to Expect from the Story
The anime follows Allen, a promising young sorcerer who, after failing his court sorcerer exam, unexpectedly receives an offer to become the private tutor to Duke Howard’s daughter, Tina. Despite her academic brilliance, Tina is unable to use magic, posing a significant challenge as entrance exams for the prestigious Royal Academy, where magical aptitude is mandatory, are rapidly approaching. The story delves into Allen’s unconventional teaching methods as he works to uncover the mystery behind Tina’s inability to use magic and help her unlock her potential. The series combines elements of fantasy, romance, and drama.
The original light novel series, written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by cura, began serialization on the Kakuyomu website in October 2017 before being published in print by Fujimi Shobo in December 2018. A manga adaptation by Tamura Mutō also began in September 2019. The anime adaptation is produced by Studio Blanc, with Nobuyoshi Nagayama directing, Megumi Shimizu overseeing series scripts, and Akiko Toyoda designing the characters. Kei Haneoka is composing the music.
