Makoto Furukawa, the acclaimed voice actor behind the protagonist Saitama in the One-Punch Man anime series, is set to perform the ending theme song for the upcoming third season. Saitama’s Voice Actor Takes on Double Duty
The announcement was made recently on the official website for the One-Punch Man television anime, confirming that Furukawa will lend his vocal talents to the series’ closing credits. While the title of the new ending song has not yet been revealed, fans are excited for Furukawa to pull “double hero duty” as both a lead voice actor and a musical artist for the popular franchise.
Makoto Furukawa is a well-known Japanese voice actor and singer, born on September 29, 1989, in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. The Road to Season 3 and Global Distribution
One-Punch Man Season 3 was initially announced on August 18, 2022, almost three years after the second season concluded. The series, based on ONE and Yusuke Murata’s manga, follows Saitama, a hero who can defeat any opponent with a single punch but seeks a challenger who can truly test his strength. The manga began as a webcomic in 2009 before being serialized in Shueisha’s Young Jump Next in 2012.
For the upcoming season, JAM Project will also make a comeback to perform the opening theme song, continuing their legacy from the first two seasons with tracks like “THE HERO” and “Seijaku no Apostle.”
The new season is set to adapt the Monster Association arc from the manga, promising more intense fights and the return of the Hero Association and their powerful opponents. Crunchyroll will stream the anime in Europe and the Middle East in the fall of 2025. Viz Media has acquired the distribution rights for North America, Latin America, and Oceania, and will also stream the series in October. The exact premiere date within October 2025 has yet to be announced, but episodes are expected to be released weekly.
