Prior to this, the series had taken an extended two-month hiatus beginning January 29, with a confirmed return date of March 26, 2025. This break was attributed to the artist experiencing back pain, and it also marked the manga’s entry into its final arc, known as the “America” arc.

Kindergarten Wars is a popular action-romantic comedy series that began serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ app and website in September 2022. The story is set in “Kindergarten Noir,” an elite institution designed to be the safest kindergarten in the world. It caters to the children of global leaders and VIPs, employing former criminals as teachers in exchange for reduced sentences to protect the children from assassins and kidnappers.
The protagonist, Rita, is Convict #999, a former legendary assassin now working at Kindergarten Noir. Her mission is to protect the high-profile schoolchildren, but she also has a personal goal: to find an attractive man.

The recent two-month break for Kindergarten Wars began after chapter 102 was released on January 29. During this time, the manga officially entered its final arc. The final arc, dubbed the “America” arc, commenced on March 27, 2025. The narrative of this arc sees Kindergarten Noir relocating to New York as Rita and the staff continue their mission against the “New World Order.”
As of August 2025, Kindergarten Wars has collected 15 tankōbon volumes in Japan. Yen Press will be publishing the first volume of the manga physically in English in April 2025. The manga has garnered significant attention, ranking third in the 2023 Next Manga Award in the web manga category and consistently placing high in AnimeJapan’s “Most Wanted Anime Adaptation” polls.
