Ryōsuke Asakura’s Anastacia no Ikita 9-kakan (The Last 9 Days of Anastasia) manga is set to conclude its serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine. The final chapter will appear in the magazine’s next issue, slated for release on September 12.
The Journey of The Last 9 Days of Anastasia
The announcement of the manga’s impending end was revealed in the September issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan, published on Tuesday. The Last 9 Days of Anastasia first launched in the same magazine in February 2024, embarking on a concise run before its upcoming conclusion. Square Enix released the manga’s second compiled book volume on February 12.
The series is set in a fantasy world embroiled in a millennia-long conflict between the Church of Light and the Church of Darkness. With the Church of Light facing a losing battle, they resort to summoning a hero to their aid. However, this powerful hero is burdened by a grim prophecy: she is destined to die in nine days. The narrative follows the hero and her companion priestess on their brief, yet crucial, journey as the last hope for the Church of Light. The manga is categorized within the action and fantasy genres, also touching upon tragedy.
