During a special BanG Dream! summer program on August 14, 2025, it was officially revealed that the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime is set to receive a new film project. This announcement comes alongside the unveiling of the title and specific details for the previously teased mini-anime series, now confirmed as Ganzo! Bandori-chan (also known as Ganzo! BanG Dream! Chan), which will premiere in October.
Ave Mujica Film Project in Production
The newly announced Ave Mujica anime film is confirmed to be a distinct project from the previously revealed sequel television series for both BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!! and BanG Dream! Ave Mujica that was disclosed in March. As of now, it remains unconfirmed whether this new movie will be a compilation of the existing 13-episode Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast – TV anime or an entirely original cinematic production.
The BanG Dream! Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast – television anime, which aired from January to March 2025, serves as a direct sequel to BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!. The series delves into the story of Sakiko Togawa, who, after losing everything, forms the band Ave Mujica by gathering girls burdened with their own troubles and desires, ultimately raising the curtain on a “perfect masquerade.”
The core voice cast for Ave Mujica features Kanon Takao as Sakiko Togawa/Oblivionis, Akane Yonezawa as Nyamu Yutenji/Amoris, Yuzuki Watase as Mutsumi Wakaba/Mortis, Mei Okada as Umiri Yahata/Timoris, and Rico Sasaki as Uika Misumi/Doloris. The band Ave Mujica itself performs the anime’s opening theme, “KiLLKiSS,” and the ending theme, “Georgette Me, Georgette You.” Koudai Kakimoto directed the Ave Mujica anime at Studio SANZIGEN, with Yuniko Ayana handling the series scripts.
