Unveiling the Bride of the Barrier Master Story
The Bride of the Barrier Master series is a romantic fantasy set in a version of Japan protected for millennia by five clans wielding barrier-weaving magic. These clans safeguard five mystical pillars that defend the country from supernatural entities known as “shades.”
The narrative centers on Hana Ichise, an eighteen-year-old born into a branch family of one of these powerful clans. Despite her lineage, Hana has lived in the shadow of her more capable and popular twin sister, Hazuki, and has often been dismissed by her family. However, a powerful ability awakens within Hana on her fifteenth birthday, which she chooses to conceal in hopes of maintaining a quiet life away from the spotlight.
Her desire for a peaceful existence is disrupted when Saku Ichinomiya, the new formidable head of the Ichinomiya clan, begins searching for a bride strong enough to stand by his side and aid in maintaining the clan’s barrier. Upon discovering Hana’s hidden powers, Saku sets his sights on her. Reluctantly, Hana agrees to a contract marriage with Saku, anticipating a substantial payment and a secluded house upon the contract’s completion. However, as genuine feelings develop between them, Hana’s plans for a quiet future become entangled with the conflicts faced by magic practitioners.
