The popular yuri novel series Hitozuma Kyōshi ga Oshiego no Joshi Kōsei ni Dohamari Suru Hanashi (A Story of a Married Teacher Becoming Obsessed With Her Female Student) by Hitoma Iruma has officially received a manga adaptation, which launched on Wednesday. The first chapter, illustrated by Shion Kawakami, debuted in the October issue of Kadokawa’s Dengeki Daioh G magazine. The manga’s premiere was also featured on the magazine’s front cover.
Diving into the Forbidden Romance: The Novel’s Premise
Hitozuma Kyōshi ga Oshiego no Joshi Kōsei ni Dohamari Suru Hanashi centers on Itsuki Ichigohara, a married high school teacher in her late twenties. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she becomes entangled with Rin Togawa, a female student who is ten years her junior. Rin is described as tall, gentle, somewhat childish, and kind, with a beautiful face.
The narrative explores a complex and morally ambiguous relationship that develops after Itsuki, concerned about Rin’s home life, ends up kissing her student on her bed. The story grapples with themes of betrayal, unfaithfulness, and the potential for personal ruination, yet it is also described as possessing a strange warmth and intimacy. The novel’s synopsis provocatively questions, “How could I have let this happen?” as it delves into this lewd and unfaithful, yet somehow warm, love story between a female teacher and her female student.
