The official website for the Fire Force anime has released a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated second cour of its third season, set to begin broadcasting in January 2026. This announcement also confirmed an additional voice actor joining the cast for the continuing storyline.
The first part of Fire Force Season 3 concluded recently, with episode 12 airing on June 20, 2025. Fans can now look forward to the continuation of the fiery supernatural action, as the anime heads into its final installment, which will cover the remaining chapters of the manga.
New Voice Actor Joins the Ranks of Fire Force Season 3
Akira Ishida, renowned for his role as Kaworu Nagisa in Neon Genesis Evangelion, has been confirmed as the voice of Oguro. Oguro made his debut in the 11th episode of the first cour of the third season. This elite salaryman quickly rose through the ranks to become an executive at Haijima Industries, serving as Kurono’s superior and one of the few capable of issuing him orders. Despite his competence, he is noted for lacking charisma.
This latest casting news follows previous announcements of other significant additions to the Season 3 cast. Earlier, Shinji Kawada (known for Shino Aburame in Naruto), Masaya Matsukaze (Illumi Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter), and Yuko Sanpei (Boruto Uzumaki in Boruto: Next Generations) were revealed to be voicing Stream, Fracture, and Faerie, respectively. These characters are part of the White-Clad cult and serve as antagonists in arcs such as Obi’s Rescue Arc and the Stone Pillars Arc. Yoko Hikasa and Masaki Aizawa were also previously announced to be joining the voice cast.
Teaser Trailer Hints at Intense Second Cour
The newly released teaser trailer for Cour 2 offers a glimpse into the action and challenges awaiting Shinra and Special Fire Force Company 8. The third season has been confirmed to be the final season of the anime adaptation.
The first cour of Fire Force Season 3 premiered on April 4, 2025, on Crunchyroll. The season is split into two parts, with the second cour scheduled to begin in January 2026. David Production is once again handling the animation for the series, with Tatsuma Minamikawa returning as director and Hideyuki Morioka as character designer. Sei Tsuguta is responsible for the scripts and series composition.
The Ongoing Battle Against Infernals and the White-Clad
Fire Force is set in a future Tokyo plagued by spontaneous human combustion, a phenomenon that transforms people into fiery creatures known as Infernals. Shinra Kusakabe, a pyrokinetic youth nicknamed “Devil’s Footprints,” joins Special Fire Force Company 8 with the goal of becoming a hero and uncovering the truth behind the fire that killed his family.
The series delves into a vast conspiracy involving the Evangelist, the Holy Sol Temple, and the Adolla Burst, a mysterious flame connected to another dimension. The third season is expected to cover pivotal manga arcs, including Obi’s Rescue, Return to St. Raffles, Arthur’s Adventure, and Stone Pillars. Prime Video’s description for the season hints at Company 8 being branded as traitors after Captain Obi’s capture by the Tokyo Imperial Army, forcing them to operate alone to rescue Obi and thwart the Evangelist’s plans.
Fans can stream Fire Force Season 3 on Crunchyroll, which also hosts the previous seasons. Hulu will also be streaming the anime in the US.
