These actors join the previously announced main cast, which includes Chiaki Kobayashi as the titular Okuto Nakamura and Yuki Sakakihara as Aiki Hirose. About ‘Go for It, Nakamura!’
‘Go for It, Nakamura!’ is based on Syundei’s manga, which was serialized in Opera magazine. The story follows Okuto Nakamura, a shy, closeted high school student who develops a crush on his classmate Aiki Hirose. Despite his strong feelings, Nakamura is acutely introverted and struggles to even speak to Hirose, often leading to comedic failures in his attempts to interact. The manga explores his journey to build confidence and eventually forge a friendship with Hirose.
Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the official English version of the manga, describing it as a “hilarious Boys’ Love manga about one young man’s attempts to keep it together in front of his crush.” The series is praised for its innocent and pure take on a high school crush, focusing on themes of adoration and self-love.

Initially slated for a 2025 release, the anime’s broadcast was later delayed to 2026. Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the series across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions.
