About Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods
Based on the light novel series by Enju and illustrated by ox, Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods began as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in April 2021 before being picked up for full publication by ASCII Media Works. Yen Press is publishing the light novels in English, with the third volume scheduled for release on November 11.
The story centers on Minato Kusunoki, who inherits a house initially believed to be overrun with evil spirits. However, Minato’s extraordinary abilities clear the spirits, attracting a host of peculiar gods to his purified residence. The series follows Minato’s tranquil, yet often eventful, daily life as he coexists with his spiritual neighbors.
An Akira Anzai-illustrated manga adaptation of the series also launched on Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website in November 2021. The anime adaptation is highly anticipated by fans of the light novel and manga, promising to bring the charming slice-of-life fantasy to the screen in 2026.
