What to Expect from the Dark Isekai Thriller
My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s introduces Akira Oda, an unassuming high school student who, along with his classmates, is summoned to a fantasy world. While others are destined to be heroes, Akira discovers his stats as an assassin are unexpectedly high, allowing him to operate in the shadows. He soon uncovers a sinister conspiracy involving the very king who summoned them, leading him to take matters into his own hands with a quest for justice and revenge.
The narrative promises a darker, sharper take on the “summoned to another world” trope, exploring themes of betrayal and hidden motives. Akira is not entirely alone, joined by allies such as Amelia Rosequartz, an elven spirit medium.
