Yen Press has licensed The Teen Exorcist manga for English publication, with the third volume having been released on September 23. Alongside his spirit companion Mokkun, Masahiro confronts ominous presences to protect the princess and the royal capital.
The Enduring Legacy of Shōnen Onmyōji
The original Shōnen Onmyōji light novel series by Mitsuru Yūki, from which the manga is adapted, commenced publication in 2001 under Kadokawa’s Beans Bunko imprint. The enduring popularity of the light novels also led to an anime series by Geneon Entertainment USA in 2006 and a musical stage play in 2007, further solidifying its place in the fantasy genre. Shikiji Sorakura launched the manga adaptation in Young Ace magazine in January 2023, with Kadokawa publishing the first manga volume in June 2023 and the fifth volume on June 4.
