Detective Conan’s Enduring Legacy
The Detective Conan (also known as Case Closed) franchise, which originated as a manga series by Gosho Aoyama in 1994, has grown into a global phenomenon. It boasts a long-running television anime series and 28 films to date, captivating audiences with the adventures of high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who was mysteriously shrunk into a child’s body and now solves crimes as Conan Edogawa.
Beyond these special YouTube streams, TMS Entertainment has also made a curated selection of Detective Conan anime episodes available on Crunchyroll and Netflix since July 3. These episodes include a new English dub, marking its first appearance on Crunchyroll and expanding accessibility for U.S. viewers. The franchise continues to expand its reach, with the U.S. premiere of Detective Conan: The Black Iron Submarine showcased at this year’s Anime Expo.
