A Glimpse into the Teaser and Story

This ambitious goal is a feat no sorcerer has ever accomplished.
The narrative follows Kunon’s rapid rise in the magical world. After only five months of dedicated study, he surpasses his own mentor, showcasing a prodigious talent. His growing repertoire of skills allows him to sense colors, conjure useful items, and even create lifelike constructs from water. Kunon’s ingenuity and magical prowess eventually catch the attention of the royal court, earning him a position as a disciple to the land’s most powerful magician.
Source Material: Light Novels and Manga
The anime is an adaptation of the fantasy light novel series Kunon the Sorcerer Can See Through (also known as Kunon the Sorcerer Can See in its English release by Yen Press), written by Umikaze Minamino and illustrated by Laruha. The series originated as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in August 2021 before being picked up by Kadokawa (under its Fujimi Shobo imprint) for light novel publication in March 2022. As of March 2025, seven volumes of the light novel have been released.
In addition to the light novels, a manga adaptation illustrated by La-na is serialized in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine. Both the light novel and manga versions are officially published in English by Yen Press, making the series accessible to a broader international audience.
