Kasuga Ryo’s action-comedy manga, Isekai Metaller, published its final chapter on Friday, bringing the heavy metal-infused fantasy adventure to a close on Hero’s Inc.’s Comiplex website. The series, which gained an international following, sees its English release handled by Titan Manga.
The Journey of an Isekai Metalhead
Isekai Metaller follows the story of Alex, a passionate metalhead and guitarist for the band Level 99. After a literal electrifying accident during his band’s farewell gig, Alex is suddenly transported to a fantastical world teeming with dragons, werewolves, and various monsters. Rather than finding a peaceful afterlife, he awakens in a realm where his love for metal music takes on new, powerful dimensions. Armed with his trusty “Flying V” guitar and a mysterious Level 999 power boost, Alex embarks on a quest to save this new world, using the sheer force of rock ‘n’ roll.
The manga, known for its unique blend of isekai tropes and heavy metal culture, was initially serialized on Hero’s Inc.’s Comiplex website, having launched in March 2024. It quickly carved a niche for itself, delighting readers with its humorous take on the genre and numerous references to metal music icons.
English Release and Availability
For international fans, Titan Manga has been actively releasing Isekai Metaller in English. The first volume of the comedy action manga became available on October 14. Readers eager to continue Alex’s adventures can look forward to the second volume, which is scheduled for release on January 13, 2026. In Japan, Hero’s Inc. published the fourth compiled volume of the manga on June 5.
The conclusion of Isekai Metaller marks the end of a relatively short but impactful run for the series, which captivated readers with its distinctive premise and high-energy narrative.
