The new manga launched on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE website recently.

The Story of the Reluctant Heroine
The isekai villainess story introduces readers to a woman who, after a lifetime working for an exploitative company, finds herself reincarnated into an otome game world as the villainess, Seraphina. Her primary goal in this new life is to live peacefully and idly, doing just enough to avoid the infamous downfall associated with Seraphina’s character in the game. However, in her pursuit of a tranquil existence and ample sleep, she inadvertently raises her affection points with the surrounding characters, unexpectedly entering a romance route.
Light Novel Background
Saki Ichibu originally published the light novel under Starts Publishing in December 2023. The story first appeared as a web novel titled “Formerly, the Fallen Daughter of the Duke” on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in March 2020, concluding in May 2020.
Print Publication and English Release
Mag Garden began publishing the print volumes of the light novel with illustrations by Nemusuke in December 2020. The sixth volume is slated to ship on November 10. For English-speaking audiences, J-Novel Club is releasing the novels, with the fifth volume having been released on June 27.
