Production and Original Works
The anime series is an adaptation of the popular fantasy light novel series written by Shichio Kuzu, which originally began as a web novel in November 2017. Earth Star Entertainment later published the light novel with illustrations by Yumehito Ueda, followed by a manga adaptation illustrated by Akio Nanae.
The anime adaptation is directed by Kaoru Yabana, with series composition and scripts by Chabo Higurashi, and animation production handled by Studio A-Cat. “Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?!” first premiered in Japan in September 2025, with HIDIVE streaming the English-subtitled episodes globally.
