The upcoming fantasy anime series, The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, has revealed three additional cast members in its latest main promotional video. The announcement builds anticipation for the series, which premiered on October 4, 2025, and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
New Voices Join the Cast
Adding depth to its roster of characters, the anime has enlisted Sakura Tange as Rosa Alhatia, Naoya Uchida as Leviel Stantz, and Akira Ishida as Loki Silveria. These prominent voice actors join the already announced main cast, which includes Shūichirō Umeda as the protagonist Alec Ygret, Yurika Kubo as Yorha Eisenz, Masumi Tazawa as Krasia Annerose, and Masaaki Mizunaka as Ornest Rain. Other key voice actors include Atsushi Abe as Regulus Caldana and Hikaru Midorikawa as Eldas Mikayla.
A Glimpse into the Story and Production
The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest follows the journey of Alec Ygret, a loyal court magician who is unceremoniously exiled for his expertise solely in support magic. However, his fortunes change when he reunites with Yorha Eisentz, a former comrade from the legendary party “Lasting Period.” Invited to rejoin his old team, Alec embarks on a new chapter of dungeon exploration, aiming to become the strongest.
The anime adaptation is produced by studio Gekkou, with Ken Takahashi (known for Ragna Crimson) at the helm as director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is handling the series composition, and Yoko Sato is responsible for the character designs and serves as chief animation director. KOUICHI and Tsubasa Takada are composing the music for the series.
Release and Streaming Details
The series officially premiered in Japan on October 4, 2025, airing on TV Asahi’s IMAnimation programming block and its affiliates. International audiences can stream The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest on Crunchyroll, which offers both English subtitled and dubbed versions. New episodes are scheduled to be released on Saturdays.
The Road to the Strongest
The anime is based on a popular light novel series written by Alto and illustrated by Yuunagi, which began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2020. Kodansha later acquired and published the series under their Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yuki Monji, also began serialization in July 2021 and is available digitally in English through Kodansha’s K Manga app.
