Manga Up! Global announced on Sunday, November 15, 2025, that it has added the English localization of Ibarakino’s manga adaptation, “The Corrupt Guildmaster Is Beloved by the Banished” (Japanese title: Ore wa Bōkensha Guild no Akutoku Guild Master: Jinzai o Tekizaitekisho ni Tsuihō Shitara, Naze ka Mechakucha Kansha Saremashita), to its digital manga service. This new addition expands the platform’s growing library of officially translated Square Enix titles available to a global audience.
About “The Corrupt Guildmaster Is Beloved by the Banished”
The series, known for its intriguing premise and fantasy setting, introduces readers to a world where perceived corruption hides a deeper, more benevolent truth.
Plot Summary
“The Corrupt Guildmaster Is Beloved by the Banished” centers on Act Enge, the founder and leader of the rising S-rank guild, Heaven’s Gem. Despite rumors painting him as a corrupt guildmaster who routinely banishes his members, Act operates with careful consideration. Having experienced wrongful expulsion himself, he ensures that every individual he banishes ultimately finds a better position suited to their talents. His actions, though misunderstood, lead to him being surrounded by a diverse cast of loyal allies, including a cool yet puppy-like maid, a tomboy princess, and an absurdly strong hero, all of whom trust him deeply. The story follows this “corrupt” guildmaster as he continues to discover, nurture, and strategically relocate individuals for their benefit.
Creative Team
The manga adaptation is based on the original story by Ibarakino. Character designs are handled by motto, while Yatsukishiro is responsible for the illustration of the manga.

Spin-off stories have continued to be posted, with the latest update occurring on November 14. SB Creative published the second light novel volume in October 2021. Yatsukishiro launched the manga adaptation on Manga UP! in April 2024, with Square Enix publishing the second volume on August 6.
