The upcoming anime adaptation of A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation has unveiled three additional cast members, further detailing the ensemble bringing Misaki’s popular light novel series to life. The new voice actors, Kosuke Toriumi, Hiroki Yasumoto, and Kenji Hamada, will portray the characters Rei, Shadow, and Insy, respectively. This announcement builds on previous cast reveals and heightens anticipation for the series, which is slated to premiere in January 2026.
New Additions to the Cast
The latest cast update introduces three prominent voice actors to the A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation anime.
- Kosuke Toriumi as Rei: Known for roles such as Kiba Inuzuka in Naruto, Toriumi will lend his voice to the character Rei.
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Shadow: Yasumoto, recognized for his work as Hozuki in Hozuki’s Coolheadedness, will take on the role of Shadow.
- Kenji Hamada as Insy: Haruaki Azuma in World Trigger is among Hamada’s notable roles, and he will now voice Insy in the upcoming series.
These new cast members join an already announced lineup that includes Soma Saito as the protagonist Lizel and Yuichiro Umehara as Gil. Other previously revealed cast members include Tetsuya Kakihara as Eleven, Jun Fukuyama as Studd, and Daiki Yamashita as Judge.
A Look at the “Vacation” Premise
A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation (Japanese: Odayaka Kizoku no Kyūka no Susume) follows the story of Lizel, a gentle noble who mysteriously finds himself transported to an entirely different world. Despite the sudden displacement, the laid-back Lizel approaches his new reality with characteristic calm, viewing it as an unexpected vacation from his noble duties.
He quickly adapts to his new surroundings, hiring a seasoned adventurer named Gil to act as his guide and protector as he explores this unfamiliar land. The series is an adventure fantasy that chronicles Lizel’s journey as he embraces a new way of life, adventuring as part of a guild, all while casually contemplating his eventual return home.
Production Details and Release
The anime adaptation is being produced by Studio SynergySP, with assistance from Ascension. Kenta Noda is directing the series, while Yosuke Suzuki is handling the series composition and scriptwriting. Akito Fujiwara is responsible for character designs, and Kosuke Yamashita is composing the music.
The original light novel series, written by Misaki and illustrated by Sando, first began serialization online in January 2014 on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. It was later acquired by TO Books, which has published multiple volumes. A manga adaptation, with art by Momochi and composition by 8Key, also began serialization in December 2018. Tokyopop publishes the English version of the manga.
The A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation anime is set to premiere in January 2026. Crunchyroll is confirmed to stream the series.
