The Story of Yoki and Cecilia
There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her (Japanese: Yūsha Pātī ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita no de, Kokuhaku Shite Mita) is based on a light novel series written by Suisei and illustrated by La-na. The story follows Yoki, a man who is reincarnated as a demon in a fantasy world after a traffic accident. Uninterested in becoming a Demon Lord, he maintains a quiet life as a mid-level boss in the Demon Lord’s castle.
His peaceful existence is disrupted when the Hero’s party attacks. However, instead of fighting, Yoki falls in love at first sight with Cecilia, the kind-hearted priestess of the hero’s party. Despite his demonic nature and awkward demeanor, Yoki decides to confess his feelings to her, embarking on an unusual romantic and comedic journey. Cecilia, initially surprised by his confession, gradually decides to build a relationship with him.
