One of the new offerings is TATE’s manga adaptation of Renkinō’s “Monster Eater” (Mamono Kurai no Bōkensha) novel. Launched on Manga Up! Global on a Sunday, this series introduces readers to Rudd, an adventurer with the unfortunate nickname “Grubby Forager” due to his constant, smelly treks into the Noxious Labyrinth for medicinal herbs. His survival in these dangerous expeditions is largely owed to his status immunity skill.
Rudd’s luck seems to turn when he’s finally recruited as a party porter. However, this glimmer of hope is short-lived as his supposed allies abandon him to a deadly dungeon monster, using him as bait. Wounded and desperate, Rudd resorts to a forbidden act to survive: eating monsters.
