Manga Up! Global, Square Enix’s official digital manga platform, has recently expanded its diverse catalog with three new titles: “Monster Eater,” “Schoolteacher to Swordmaster,” and “Stalker Stalks Stalker.” The additions bring a mix of fantasy, adventure, and suspense to readers worldwide, with each title offering a unique narrative premise.
Dive into New Adventures: Featured Manga Titles
The platform continues to cater to a broad audience by consistently adding new series across various genres. These latest releases highlight Manga Up! Global’s commitment to delivering fresh content from popular Japanese creators and adapting acclaimed light novels into manga format.
Monster Eater: An Adventurous Gourmet Fantasy
One of the new offerings is TATE’s manga adaptation of Renkinō’s “Monster Eater” (Mamono Kurai no Bōkensha) novel. Launched on Manga Up! Global on a Sunday, this series introduces readers to Rudd, an adventurer with the unfortunate nickname “Grubby Forager” due to his constant, smelly treks into the Noxious Labyrinth for medicinal herbs. His survival in these dangerous expeditions is largely owed to his status immunity skill.
Rudd’s luck seems to turn when he’s finally recruited as a party porter. However, this glimmer of hope is short-lived as his supposed allies abandon him to a deadly dungeon monster, using him as bait. Wounded and desperate, Rudd resorts to a forbidden act to survive: eating monsters. This taboo act, however, becomes the source of his new-found power, propelling him into a thrilling “adventurous gourmet fantasy.” TATE’s manga adaptation began serialization on Square Enix’s Manga UP! platform in August 2024, with the second compiled book volume shipping in July.
Schoolteacher to Swordmaster: An Isekai Tale of Underdog Ascension
Another significant addition is Katsura Rick’s manga adaptation of Sakasagiri’s “Schoolteacher to Swordmaster” (Saikyō Ranking ga Aru Isekai ni Seitotachi to Shūdantenishita Kōkō Kyōshi no Ore, Mob Kara Kensei e Nariagaru) novel, which became available on a Monday.
The story follows high school teacher Shigeto Kusunoki, who, along with his students, is transported to an alternate world governed by a “Divine Ranking” system. While his students are granted formidable abilities, Shigeto finds himself at the very bottom with meager skills, completely upending the traditional power dynamic between teacher and student. Armed with only a single sword, Shigeto embarks on a challenging journey to rise from an unassuming schoolteacher to an unrivaled swordmaster, navigating a world where his former students now possess superior strength.
Stalker Stalks Stalker: A Suspenseful Mind Game
Rounding out the new releases is Yuo Yodogawa’s “Stalker Stalks Stalker” (Sutosuto: Stalker ga Stalksareteru Hanashi), which launched on a Saturday. This title delves into a more psychological and suspenseful narrative.
The manga explores a twisted dynamic where the hunter becomes the hunted. While specific plot details are kept under wraps to preserve the suspense, the title itself suggests a thrilling narrative where a stalker finds themselves on the receiving end of similar obsessive attention, promising a captivating and potentially unsettling read for fans of psychological thrillers.
