The Journey So Far: Wistoria’s First Season
The first season of Wistoria: Wand and Sword premiered in July 2024, consisting of 12 episodes. It introduced viewers to Will Serfort, a hardworking student at Regarden Magic Academy who, despite living in a magic-dominated world, possesses no magical abilities himself. Instead, he relies on his exceptional sword skills to overcome obstacles and fulfill a promise made to a childhood friend. Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired in Japan, also providing an English dub for international audiences. The manga, written by Fujino Ōmori (also known for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) and illustrated by Toshi Aoi, began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in December 2020, with Kodansha USA Publishing releasing the English version.
