The highly anticipated second season of Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku has officially revealed its opening theme artists and offered a glimpse into the upcoming action with a new trailer. Tatsuya Kitani, in collaboration with the metal idol group BABYMETAL, will perform the opening theme song titled “Kasuka na Hana” (かすかなはな; lit. ‘Faint Flower’) for the series, set to premiere on January 11, 2026. The announcement was made alongside the release of a new promotional video during the ongoing Jump Festa 2026 event.
Dive into the “Lord Tensen” and “Hōrai” Arcs
Studio MAPPA, returning to animate the series, confirmed the January 11, 2026, premiere date, with Crunchyroll slated to simulcast the season globally outside of Asia. Season 2 is poised to delve into the manga’s pivotal “Lord Tensen” and “Hōrai” arcs, promising escalating conflicts and deeper explorations of the mysterious island.
The new trailer provides a sneak peek at the intense battles and character developments awaiting fans. It features action-packed sequences, hinting at the increasing dangers Gabimaru and his companions will face as they continue their perilous search for the Elixir of Life. New Characters and Returning Staff
The second season will introduce new Yamada Asaemon executioners to the perilous island, expanding the cast and the intricate dynamics of the series. Among the newly revealed characters are Shugen, Jikka, Kiyomaru, and Isuzu. Their respective voice actors include Ryota Suzuki as Shugen, Koji Yusa as Jikka, Maaya Uchida as Kiyomaru, and Sayaka Ohara as Isuzu.
The core staff from the first season will be reprising their roles, ensuring continuity in the adaptation. Kaori Makita returns as director, with Akira Kindaichi handling the series composition, Akitsugu Hisagi as character designer, and Yoshiaki Dewa composing the music. The main voice cast, including Chiaki Kobayashi as Gabimaru and Yumiri Hanamori as Sagiri Asaemon Yamada, will also return.

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku follows Gabimaru the Hollow, a condemned ninja, and his executioner, Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, as they venture to a treacherous island believed to hold the Elixir of Life. Success in retrieving the elixir would grant Gabimaru a pardon for his crimes. However, the island, Shinsenkyo, is far from ordinary, filled with enigmatic creatures and formidable adversaries.
The first season, which aired from April to July 2023, garnered significant acclaim, establishing the series as a standout in the dark fantasy shonen genre.
