The announcement provides a closer look at the animated world of Madeus and its unique protagonist.
What the New Visual and Promo Reveal
The newly released key visual for “A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai” showcases the protagonist, Takeru Kamishiro, alongside his companions Bee and other travelers, hinting at the journey that awaits them in the fantasy world. The promotional video offers the first animated glimpses of the series, giving viewers a taste of the animation style and character designs. It also features the anime’s opening theme song, “Prologue,” performed by the VTuber unit Nornis.
October 2025 Release and Production Details
“A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai” is slated to begin broadcasting in Japan in October 2025. The anime project is being handled by director Yoshinori Odaka, known for works such as “40-Shūnen da yo! Coro Coro All-Star Shōgakkō”. Animation is being produced by a collaboration between Tatsunoko Production and SynergySP.
The series composition is managed by Gigaemon Ichikawa, while Mayumi Watanabe is responsible for character designs. Hiroshi Takaki is composing the music for the series. GENCO is listed as the producer for the anime.
Cast Members Bringing Characters to Life
The main cast members for the anime have also been announced. Nobunaga Shimazaki voices the protagonist, Takeru Kamishiro. Ayasa Ito is cast as Bee, and Makoto Koichi takes on the role of Brolite.
The Story of Takeru Kamishiro’s Isekai Journey
The anime is based on Masuo Kinoko’s light novel series, which began online serialization in July 2016 and has since seen 16 volumes published by AlphaPolis as of March 2025. The series has garnered significant recognition, including winning both the Grand Prize and the Readers’ Choice Award in the 9th AlphaPolis Fantasy Novel Prizes, with over 1.73 million copies in circulation, including digital editions. A manga adaptation by Tomozo has also been running since December 2017.
The story follows Takeru Kamishiro, an ordinary office worker who finds himself suddenly summoned to the world of “Madeus.” Unlike many isekai protagonists, Takeru’s unique abilities include enhanced physical and magical prowess, but most notably, the power to “search” for valuable items and rare materials. Armed with these “cheat skills,” Takeru embarks on a new adventure in this world of swords and magic.
