Originally penned by Metabo Hagure and illustrated by Masami, A Livid Lady’s Guide to Getting Even began its journey as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō service in October 2020. It later transitioned to a light novel series under Hobby Japan’s HJ Novels imprint, with the first volume released in May 2022. As of August 2025, seven volumes have been published. The series has garnered a significant following, leading to a manga adaptation illustrated by Imo Ōno, which started serialization on Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire service in May 2022 and has also compiled seven volumes.
