The popular television anime series, I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!, officially known in Japan as A-Rank Party o Ridatsu Shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyū Shinbu o Mezasu., has been green-lit for a second season. The announcement came swiftly after the broadcast of its 24th and final episode of the first season on June 29, 2025. Fans can anticipate further adventures of the disillusioned “red mage” Yuke Feldio and his promising former students.

First Season Concludes with High Anticipation

The inaugural season of I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! premiered on January 12, 2025, and concluded its extensive run of 24 episodes on June 29, 2025. The series aired for two consecutive cours, providing a substantial narrative arc for its initial broadcast. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, also offering an English dubbed version, making it widely accessible to international audiences.

The anime, produced by Bandai Namco Pictures, adapted Kōsuke Unagi’s light novel series, which features illustrations by Super Zombie. A manga adaptation by Yūri has also been serialized online via Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website since June 2021. The series quickly garnered a following for its unique premise and character dynamics.

The Story So Far

The narrative centers on Yuke Feldio, a “lowly red mage” who, despite his significant contributions, grows weary of the constant insults and ridicule from his A-rank party, Thunder Pike. Fed up with the unappreciative attitudes of his companions, Yuke makes the pivotal decision to leave the esteemed group.

In a serendipitous turn of events, Yuke later reunites with three of his former students: Marina, Silk, and Rain. These aspiring adventurers, who hold Yuke in high regard as their teacher, invite him to join their burgeoning D-rank party, Clover. Embracing this new opportunity, Yuke dedicates himself to nurturing their talents and guiding them through various quests, showcasing his own extraordinary magical prowess and skills while helping his students reach their full potential.

The party’s journey takes an unexpected turn when their adventures begin to be broadcast through an artifact known as Camelot, propelling Clover into the public eye and making them well-known throughout society. Their ultimate goal is to conquer the formidable Achromatic Darkness, the world’s most challenging dungeon. However, their path to this grand objective leads them into a complex web of events that eventually threaten the entire world.

Commemorative Art and Future Details

To celebrate the announcement of the second season, character designer Masakazu Yamazaki created a special illustration, which was released on the show’s official social media channels. While the confirmation of a second season has excited fans, specific details regarding its broadcast date, further staff, and new cast members are yet to be disclosed. The consistent production staff from the first season included Katsumi Ono as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu overseeing and writing the series scripts, and Go Sakabe composing the music. The main voice cast for the first season included Hiromu Mineta as Yuke, Hana Inami as Marina, Natsumi Kawaida as Silk, and Nene Hieda as Rain.
