The “I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!” (A-Rank Party o Ridatsu Shita Ore wa, Moto Oshiego-tachi to Meikyū Shinbu o Mezasu.) TV anime has officially been renewed for a second season. The announcement came swiftly after the conclusion of its 24-episode first season, which aired its final episode on June 29, 2025.
The news was met with enthusiasm by fans, with a special illustration drawn by character designer Masakazu Yamazaki released to commemorate the announcement. While the production of a second season is confirmed, specific details such as the release date, new cast members, or returning staff have yet to be disclosed.
The first season of the anime, produced by Bandai Namco Pictures, premiered on January 12, 2025, and ran for two consecutive cours. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, including an English dub.
The anime adapts the light novel series penned by Kōsuke Unagi and illustrated by Super Zombie, which concluded its five-volume run in February 2025. A manga adaptation by Yuri is also ongoing. The story follows Yuke Feldio, a red mage who leaves his A-rank party due to mistreatment and forms a new party with his former students. The first season covered volumes 1-3 of the light novel, and the upcoming second season is expected to adapt the remaining volumes 4 and 5.
