About A Wild Last Boss Appeared!
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Firehead and illustrated by YahaKo, which originally debuted on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2015. The story, which has also received a manga adaptation, is described as an isekai fantasy with a gender-swap premise and MMORPG-inspired worldbuilding.
The plot centers on Lufas Maphaahl, a legendary female tyrant and conqueror from the MMORPG Exgate Online. Two hundred years after her defeat in a player-led campaign, she mysteriously reawakens in what appears to be the real world, only to discover that her consciousness is now piloted by a male gamer trapped in her body. With her formidable legacy still haunting the world and monsters resurfacing, Lufas embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind her resurrection and reclaim her position in a world that both fears and reveres her.
