The upcoming anime adaptation of A Wild Last Boss Appeared! has unveiled additional cast members and staff, alongside a limited-time streaming of the first two minutes and 54 seconds (174 seconds) of its premiere episode. The series is slated to officially debut in October 2025.
New Cast and Staff Details Emerge
The anime’s official website recently announced new additions to its voice cast and production team. Previously, Ami Koshimizu was confirmed to voice Lufas Maphaahl, and Yuri Usui as Dina.
The newly revealed cast members for the Twelve Heavenly Stars include:

The production staff for A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is led by Yuya Horiuchi as the director at Studio WAO World. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is handling the series composition. Maiko Ebisawa is responsible for character designs, with Takashi Kobayashi and Shota Ueno serving as sub-character designers. WOWMAX is producing the series alongside NBC Universal. The anime adaptation was initially announced in August 2024.

Anime Premiere and Background
The world premiere of A Wild Last Boss Appeared! anime is set to take place at Anime Expo 2025 on July 5, at 10:30 a.m. PDT, hosted by NBCUniversal. The series is based on the popular light novel series written by Firehead and illustrated by YahaKo. The light novel originally began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in October 2015 and concluded in April 2019. Earth Star Entertainment published the print edition. A manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki also began serialization in June 2017. J-Novel Club has licensed both the light novel and manga for English release.
The story centers on Lufas Maphaahl, known as “The Black-Winged Tyrant” and “Great Conqueror,” who was once the leader of the Twelve Heavenly Stars in the MMORPG Exgate Online. Two hundred years after her defeat during a player-made event, a man wakes up in the game world, trapped in Lufas’s body. The world, still scarred by Lufas’s legacy, is in disarray, with monsters she once vanquished resurfacing. With her former allies dispersed and enemies observing, Lufas embarks on a journey to uncover the truth of her resurrection and reclaim her place in a world that both fears and reveres her.
