The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Firehead and YahaKo’s light novel series, “A Wild Last Boss Appeared!”, has revealed additional cast members and staff details, alongside a limited-time streaming release of the first two minutes and 54 seconds (174 seconds) of its inaugural episode. The series is set to premiere in October 2025, with an early world premiere held at Anime Expo 2025.
New Additions to the Cast
The latest announcement expands the roster of voice actors bringing the world of “A Wild Last Boss Appeared!” to life. Joining the previously announced Ami Koshimizu as Lufas Maphaahl and Yuri Usui as Dina, several prominent voice actors have been cast as members of the Seven Heroes and the Twelve Heavenly Stars.
The newly revealed cast members for the Seven Heroes include:
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Sword King Alioth
- Tomoaki Maeno as Wise King Megrez
- Daisuke Hirakawa as Sky King Merak
- Satomi Akesaka as Vampire Princess Benetnasch
Furthermore, earlier announcements introduced cast members for the Twelve Heavenly Stars:
- Yukina Shutō as Aries
- Hisako Tōjō as Libra
- Naoya Uchida as Aigokeros
- Mika Kanai as Parthenos

The anime is being directed by Yuya Horiuchi at Studio WAO World, with WOWMAX handling general production. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is overseeing the series scripts, and Maiko Ebisawa is responsible for character designs. Takashi Kobayashi and Shota Ueno are credited as sub-character designers.

For a limited time, the official website for “A Wild Last Boss Appeared!” began streaming the first 174 seconds of the anime’s first episode. This preview offers fans an early glimpse into the animation and overall production quality ahead of its full broadcast. It should be noted that the video does not include English subtitles.
The series adapts Firehead’s dark fantasy isekai light novel, which was originally serialized on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from 2015 to 2017. Earth Star Entertainment later published the light novel with illustrations by YahaKo, concluding with nine volumes in 2019. A manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki has also been ongoing since 2017. J-Novel Club licenses both the light novel and manga in English.
The story revolves around a man who awakens 200 years after her defeat, in the body of Lufas Maphaahl, a legendary female tyrant from the MMORPG “Exgate Online.” Now in a real world shaped by her terrifying legacy, Lufas must journey to find answers, allies, and confront the monsters unleashed by her “death.”
