The official website and social media channels for the upcoming TV anime “Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring” (春夏秋冬代行者 春の舞) have released a new summer-themed visual and promotional video. The new artwork prominently features Ruri Hazakura, the Agent of Summer, alongside her bodyguard, Ayame Hazakura.
The vibrant summer visual portrays Ruri Hazakura amidst lush greenery under a bright blue sky, surrounded by various animals, as she seemingly evokes the arrival of the summer season. This follows an earlier spring-themed visual and announcement trailer that were unveiled when the anime adaptation was initially announced.
The anime is an adaptation of the light novel series “Agents of the Four Seasons,” written by Kana Akatsuki, known for her work on “Violet Evergarden,” and illustrated by Suoh. WIT Studio, recognized for its productions like “Attack on Titan” and “SPY×FAMILY,” is producing the anime. Ken Yamamoto is directing the series, with Kazuhiro Furuhashi serving as animation advisor. Ayumu Hisao is overseeing the series scripts, and Namiko Torii is responsible for character design.
The light novel series, which began serialization in 2021 under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko imprint, explores a world where divine agents and their bodyguards are responsible for circulating the four seasons. The story of “Dance of Spring” revolves around the disappearance and eventual return of Hinagiku, the Agent of Spring, after a decade, and her bodyguard Sakura Himedaka’s relentless search for her. Yen Press has licensed the light novel series for English release. While the summer visual and video have been revealed, an official release date for the anime has not yet been confirmed.
